Raymond Carlsen, CEO

Mr. Carlsen earned his M.Sc. at Florida Institute of Technology, USA in 1981. He has held various top management positions within the Aker Group and former Kvaerner ASA since he joined the enterprise in 1989 as managing director for Kvaerner Process Systems. Before joining Scatec Solar, Mr. Carlsen was Partner and responsible for developing Aker ASA’s portfolio of Energy related businesses. Prior to becoming a partner of Aker ASA, he was Executive Vice President and member of the Aker Solutions ASA Executive Management Team as well as responsible for Aker Solutions Subsea business with operations in more than 15 countries and more than USD 2 billion in revenue.

Mr. Roar Haugland, Vice President, Europe Mr. Roar Haugland, European Operations
Mr. Haugland is responsible for the European Business Development and Projects Operation. He holds a Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. His professional experience is from the information technology industry with international leaders like HP and IBM. Haugland has held leading positions in Business Development, Sales and Management in Norway and internationally for more than 20 years.

Terje Osmundsen, Vice President, Emerging Markets Terje Osmundsen, Strategy & Emerging Markets
Mr. Osmundsen is responsible for Emerging Markets and Strategy Development, currently including France. He has higher education in Social Sciences, Law and Economics from Norway and the US. He is the founder of Monday Morning (a Norwegian think tank and weekly publication) and is a Former Chief-of-Staff to Norway’s Prime Minister. Osmundsen has international management experience from Alcatel, the engineering group Kvaerner and Saga Petroleum. He has been board member of leading high-tech companies , as well as chairman of CICERO Center for Climate Research.

Amitabh Verma, Vice President, Technology Amitabh Verma, Technology
As Materials Scientist, Dr. Verma has worked on hydrogen storage, Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC), crystalline silicon solar cells and concentrator PV. Verma has his professional career from Thapar Group of Industries, General Electric and Moser Baer Photo Voltaic.

Lars Busching Lars Busching, Sales
Mr. Busching is responsible for Sales in Europe and for operations in Asia Pacific. He is German, but has lived and worked in several countries around the world. Previously he was the Managing Director for a German supplier in the wind energy market in China. Before his assignments in Asia, he was a management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers and IBM Global Services, where he was responsible for strategy assignments in the energy and telecom markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Busching holds an MBA/Master of Business Economics of University of Hamburg as well as an MBA of Fudan University in Shanghai.
